The Nazzal Grand Mosque serves as a landmark for sustainability in Amman, featuring a 61.2 kWp solar PV system that generates 100% of its electricity. This installation successfully reduced the mosque's monthly bill from 1,000 JD to zero by utilizing net-metering to feed surplus energy back into the grid. As a flagship project of Jordan’s "Green Mosque" initiative, it demonstrates how decentralised renewable energy can achieve zero-emissions goals while providing significant financial relief to community institutions.
