The International Technical for Metal Industries Co. project implemented a comprehensive energy audit focused on industrial optimisation across its Tubes and Galvanizing plants. By addressing mechanical inefficiencies, such as repairing compressed air leaks and upgrading to high-efficiency compressors and VFD-equipped motors, the facility achieved an annual electricity saving of 870,644 kWh. Additionally, adjusting the air/fuel ratio on furnaces saved 178 tons of fuel per year, contributing to a total annual cost reduction of 140,910 JD. With a combined capital investment of 133,150 JD, the project successfully reduced total energy consumption by 22%, with several key measures paying for themselves in less than a year.
